Artist Statement

My practice transverses a range of media, primarily installation, moving images, text, drawing, computer programming and machine learning. Through the intersection of art, philosophical speculation and historical enquiry, my work seeks to contemplate the emergence of new worlds and heretical flights of time and being to critically address the questions of territory, language, belonging, gatherings and borders. The work intends to open discursive spaces of political and intercultural dialogue by re-interpreting various conceptual materials such as being as a site of political event and insurgency, archive as an anarchic site of ontological speculation rather than a state monument, ecologies and landscapes as militant processes rather than cartographic objects signifying national substance. My practice-led research also questions the boundaries of its media, the thresholds of its entry and the dialects of its materiality.
